Mucocele of the appendix: Two cases with atypical ultrasonographic features

ABSTRACT
Mucocele of the appendix is a descriptive term of an abnormal mucus accumulation within the lument.Ultrasonographic findings are a cystic lesion with good through-transmission, the variable internal echogenicity,and calcification of its wall. We report two cases of mucocele of the appendix presenting as a heterogenoushypoechoic mass.
