Solid and Papillary Epithelial Neoplasm of the Pancreas: Sonographic Feature

ABSTRACT
Sonographic findings of 6 cases of soloid and papillary epithelial neoplasm of the pancrease were revieved. It usually occurred in young women(mean age 28.5 years, M:F=5:1). Sonographic finding show well defined round or oval masses. internal echo textures were solid in three, solid and cystic in one and mainly cystic in two. In cystic lesion there show papillary excrescence in the inner wall. In one case of solid tumor, echogenic capsule observed. In spite of large size of the tumor which was located in the head of pancreas, there show minimal or non dilatation of biliary tree in 3 cases.
